Why did you choose to pursue writing at Mount Union? I’ve always loved to read and write, and when I was in High School, I had some great teachers who had a lot of influence over me and helped me to become who I am today. I decided that I wanted to teach English and maybe have the same kind of impact.

What types of jobs are available for students who share your major? Teaching (School or College); Writing (books, magazine, journalism, etc); Editing; A lot of people hire English majors to work in management of business because it helps you develop good communication skills; It’s also great if you’re planning on going to graduate school because it helps you learn to write and organize your thoughts.

How will you use your degree upon graduation? I would like togo to graduate school, and then hopefully teach.
