Mount Union College Dowling Mentor Program Honors Students

The Dowling Mentor Program at Mount Union College held its annual banquet recently to honor those involved during the past academic year. Lorie Miller, director of the Mount Union College Dowling Mentor Program, and program founders Jack and Madge Peters recognized Alliance High School seniors Felicia Gang, La 'Trisha Jackson, Stephen Jones, Liviu Stanulet, Douglas Strait and Daielle Wuebbles.

In addition to meeting on a regular basis for tutoring and special events, members of the program also perform community service projects. This year's projects included assisting with the Rodman Library Used Book Sale, accepting gifts for the Salvation Army Wish Tree, participating in the Dance Marathon to benefit Akron Children's Hospital and Bowl for Kids Sake, and working at the Alliance Community Care Center and the John T. Huston - Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center. |
