Mount Union's men's swim team (1-2, 1-1 OAC) defeated visiting John Carroll (1-2, 1-2 OAC) by a score of 129-112, while the Raider women's squad fell to the Lady Blue Streaks (2-1, 2-1 OAC) 152-79, on Friday evening, November 3 at the Timken Pool in Alliance, Ohio.
On the men's side, Kevin Klein turned in three first place finishes, in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:14.80), 200 yard individual medley (2:08.75), and 100 yard backstroke (55.38).
Donald Maclary earned a pair of victories in the 50 yard freestyle (22.38) and 100 yard butterfly (54.07) while Jeff Budzowski placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:05.19).
The Raiders' 200 yard medley relay team of Budzowski, Dan Hampu, Jon Billak, and Mark Rogers also turned in a first place finish with a time of 1:47.23.
For the women, Athena Miller placed first in the 200 yard individual medley (2:29.24) while Samantha Tecca placed first in the one meter dive (129.45).
The Lady Raider 200 yard freestyle relay team of Jamie Wright, Erin Schwing, Kristin Bellay, and Lisa Sanniti placed first with a time of 1:47.10.
Mount Union next hosts Washington and Jefferson (PA) on Wednesday, November 8 in Alliance, Ohio. The meet is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
