What type of interesting features do you incorporate into your classes?
While I do lecture in the classroom, I like to use games, group activities and student presentations to provide a varied and sometimes fun environment.

In your opinion, how is Mount Union College unique from other small liberal arts colleges?
I'm convinced that the accessibility of faculty to students is much more than words. Speaking for myself and many colleagues, we really do want to interact with students and hope they engage us inside and outside the classroom. We see our purpose as teaching, not grade giving. The faculty and staff here really do care about the students and their success in school and in life.

How do Mount Union students benefit from attending a small school as opposed to a larger school?
Much as described above, a large class is 30, which is not large by collegiate standards. Classes smaller than ten students are common.

What kinds of opportunities do Mount Union students have after graduating from College?
They have all the opportunity they can reach out and find and grab. In recent years, the career services operation has improved and made arrangements for more and more employers to visit campus and truly seek out our students.

In what activities do you participate in your spare time?
I like to attend performing arts events (concerts, musicals, theatre, dance). I'm on the board of a non-profit performing arts company. I run for fitness and enter an occasional distance running event.
