Why did you choose to pursue physical education at Mount Union? I chose physical education because I want to be able to have an impact on children’s lives and I have a passion for teaching.
What types of jobs are available for students who share your major? It ranges from P.E. teacher to athletic director to recreational director. There are many jobs out there that a lot of people don't know about.
How will you use your degree upon graduation? I would like to get a P.E. teaching position in Chicago.
What activities are you involved in? I run track for Mount Union, and I also participate in intramural volleyball, football, basketball, and dodgeball.
Elements a person should possess to succeed in your major? The two most important aspects to possess are caring and being nonjudgmental.
What advice can you offer for someone who is considering having the same major as you? It is a fantastic field to get into. It is one of the most rewarding professions that there are.
