Raider Swimmers Share Athlete of the Week Award

Mount Union College swimmers junior Sarah Buford (Clayton, CA/ Caron) and sophomore Jeremy Opacich (Brecksville/Brunswick Christian) have earned the Office of Sports Information Raider Athlete of the Week Award for their individual performances at the conference championships from February 10-12, announced on Monday, February 14.
Buford was the Ohio Athletic Conference individual champion in the women’s 1,650 freestyle (18:23.25) and placed third overall in the 500 free (5:25.05). Opacich was runner-up in the 1,650 freestyle (17:21.22) and took third in the men’s 500 free (5:00.25).
The top three finishers in each event at the OAC Championships earn All-Conference status.
