Mount Union College's volleyball team, the #4 seed (17-15 overall) dropped a three set match to top seed, and nationally sixth ranked Ohio Northern (28-4 overall) in the Ohio Athletic Conference semifinals (30-16, 30-24, 30-18) in Ada, Ohio on Friday, November 5.
The Raiders were led by Jess Ehmer's 10 kills, and 6 blocks, Ashley Janezics 20 assists and 4 blocks. Kristen Barker and Kristen Sagula added 19 digs a piece.
The Raiders reached the OAC round of four by defeating #5 Heidelberg on Tuesday, November 2 in a three set sweep in Alliance. Ohio Northern will continue to play as the tournament host as they take on #2 seed Baldwin-Wallace on Saturday, November, 6 for the Ohio Athletic Conference title.
Mount Union completed the 2004 season with an overall record of 17-15, and for the eighth consecutive season the Purple and White finished regular season play among the top five in conference team standings.
