All graduates are automatically members of the Alumni Association, which was officially organized in 1948. Its purpose is to promote interest in Mount Union College through a variety of programs.As an alum of Mount Union, what kind of events can I attend? Homecoming/Alumni Weekend Return to your alma mater and join in the Homecoming festivities! Meet friends from College and visit new and historic campus facilities. As you well remember from your student days, the football game and the parade are two favorites of the weekend. This year will mark the first Homecoming and Alumni Weekend combination so watch your mailbox for details. Homecoming favorites among Mount Union alumni are the Run-A-MUC 5K Race, Greek open houses and post-game activities. Plus, now look forward to the new alumni reunion party, interest sessions, carnival in the fieldhouse for the kids, Homecoming-Fest friday night and the highlight - alumni weekend luncheon on Sunday. Call your friends and return to campus together for Homecoming/Alumni Weekend! Regional Events The Office of Alumni Activities travels to various areas to host alumni luncheons, dinners and receptions. Within the state of Ohio, events are held in areas such as Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Canton and Youngstown. In recent years, the Office of Alumni and College Activities has also hosted events in Virginia, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Chicago and Washington D.C. What alumni organizations exist? Mount Union Women This organization, founded in 1933, has local chapters in Akron, Canton/Massillon and Cleveland for women interested in the College. Women in other geographic areas are members-at-large. Numerous scholarships are awarded each year to deserving women on campus through chapter and member contributions. M ClubMembership in M Club is limited to students who have earned one varsity letter in any sport at Mount Union and who maintain a satisfactory academic average. The major activities include the Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony/dinner and the annual summer golf outing. Contributions from M Club members are used to provide for special needs within the athletic department. Athletes who earn at least one letter and participate through their senior year are eligible for a lifetime pass, which will admit you to all regular season intercollegiate athletic events. All M Club members are invited and encouraged to attend the annual M Club Golf Scramble and Steak Fry which is held each summer. Check their link for more information and any upcoming events. Alumni Council The Alumni Council, composed of 24 members governs the Alumni Association. How can I get help with my student loans? If graduates have questions regarding student loans, please contact the Office of Business Affairs (for Perkins Loans), the Office of Student Financial Services (for general information) or your lending institution for specific questions on your loans. Alumni and friends have supported Mount Union students through the Annual Fund since 1928. Annual Fund donors add value to Mount Union because their gifts strengthen our educational program. Fundamental to such strength is constant improvement of the academic program through outstanding teaching. In addition to faculty development, value is also added through new technology and computer systems, through expanded study opportunities in the library and classrooms, and through scholarships and financial assistance. An investment in Mount Union's Annual Fund is an investment in our students. How can I purchase Mount Union merchandise? When back on campus, stop in the Bookstore in the Hoover-Price Campus Center. The Bookstore has everything from imprinted infant/children's clothing to adult golf shirts and golf bags. Items are available for purchase online http://muc.bkstr.com. Absolutely! The Office of Career Development gladly assists alumni with the career journey. Career assessments, private appointments, resume and job search strategies are available to alumni who are finding themselves back in the job search process. How do I contact a former classmate? To obtain the address of a Mount Union friend, just call the Office of Alumni Activities. Approximately every five years, a directory of alumni is published which lists the name, address, telephone and employment information of all known alumni. These books are available for purchase. The Mount Union Magazine is a publication designed to keep alumni and friends informed about what is new at Mount Union College. This tri-annual magazine keeps alumni and friends informed of the programs and activities of the Alumni Association, fellow alumni and the College. You will receive each edition of the magazine as long as the Office of Alumni Activities has your current address. The class notes section is by far the most popular section of the magazine. Please keep us up to date on address How can I receive a copy of my college transcript? The Office of Registration can supply you with your official Mount Union College transcript. To obtain your official transcript you must submit a written request including your date of birth, maiden name (if appropriate), your signature and the complete address of the third party receiving the transcript to the Office of Registration.
