Raider Swim Teams Drop Dual to John Carroll

Mount Union’s swim teams hosted an Ohio Athletic Conference Dual against John Carroll on Friday, November 5. The men’s squad fell to a 124-78 loss, while the women were outscored 119-86 inside the Timken Physical Education Building.
Individually, the men were led by double-winner Kevin Burkey, who hit the wall first in the 100 freestyle (51.64), and the 200 IM (2:08.37). The other first place finishers for the Raiders were Mark Rogers, who won the 50 freestyle (23.38) and Alexander Darr, who won the 100 breast( 1:04.69).
The Lady Raiders were led by Jen Slys, who was the top competitor in the 100 freestyle (59.02), and 50 freestyle (26.81), while fellow teammates Mary Buford was victorious in the 100 fly (1:04.76), and Sarah Buford finished first in the 1,000 yard free (11:26.49).
The Raiders will next travel to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday November, 10.
