In the first possession of the contest, on a third-and-23, quarterback Mike Jorris connected with wide receiver Pierre Garcon on a 50-yard touchdown strike. Mount Union's next possession ended with running back Nate Kmic hauling in a nine-yard touchdown pass from Jorris. Following safety Matt Kostelnik's second blocked punt in as many weeks, the Raiders covered 15 yards quickly, capped by a Kmic two-yard touchdown scamper.

Following a long kick off return by Kmic, the Raiders converted again when Kmic scored for the third time on the day - a one-yard run. Kmic's score gave him 12 touchdowns on the year, tying Garcon for team high honors. Kicker Mike Zimmerman added his fourth PAT of the contest - giving Mount Union a 28-3 lead. Kostelnik struck again when he recovered a fumble and took it 40 yards for a score at 6:51 of the second quarter. The PAT was blocked. The Raiders then made it a perfect six for six in possessions when quarterback Greg Micheli marched the offense down the field late in the period, culminating in Micheli scoring from five yards out at the 1:56 mark. Following cornerback Jonah Wilson's second career interception, Zimemrman atempted what would have been a Mount Union-record 51 yard field goal. The attempt had the distance, but hit the right upright.

Zimmerman made it seven for nine in field goal attempts on the year when he connected from 22 yards out halfway into the third stanza. J.J. Ditz added his first career touchdown reception in the fourth - a seven yarder from Micheli. That was followed by the first career score by receiver Robert Knapp -- a 49 yarder from Micheli. Wilmington then got in the end zone when wideout Jesse Parthemore grabbed a 21 yard pass from quarterback Billy Blackburn. The Raider special teams closed the game with their second blocked punt of the contest, this time coming from safety Darrell Pierce with just over six minutes left to play in the fourth.

Raider offensive lineman Jason Lewis also commented on the win.
"We work as one unit up front," he said. "I think we are the tighest group of guys on the team. We try to do our jobs well and that lets the skilled players do their thing."
