Raider Cross Country Teams Compete at Tidewater Fall Classic

Mount Union College's men's (44 points) and women's (49 points) cross country teams captured first and third place finishes respectively at the Tidewater Fall Classic at Winter Place Park in Salisbury, Maryland, on Saturday, October 1.

The men's squad placed first of nine and was led by a third place finish from Jeremy Velliquette (25:36). The women's squad finished third of eight and was led by a fourth place finish from Jamie Musick (22:06).

Other top finishes for the men included Jason Sigmund (8th/25:52), Chris Paulett (12th/26:18), Justin Meeson (15th/26:26), Brian Bernard (18th/26:44), and Matt Oberly (19th/26:55).

Other top performances for the Lady Raiders were Jen Farrell (11th/23:07), Kelli Kranek (13th/23:13), Hiromi Takahashi (14th/23:18), Cameron Brantley (16th/20:18), and Raina Keppler (16th/23:27).

Mansfield won the women's title with 26 points while East Stroudsburg placed second with 47 points.

Mount Union will next compete at the All-Ohio Championships in Delaware, Ohio, on Friday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m.
