Mount Union Defeats Case Western Reserve

Mount Union's wrestling team (5-0, 1-0 OAC) won, 29-7, over visting Case Western Reserve on Saturday, January 8 at the Timken Gymnasium in Alliance, Ohio.
At 133, Rocky Laughlin earned a forfeit followed by consectutive victories at 141 by Tony Stellato and Chad Hilliard at 149 to give the Raiders the early lead. Mount Union never trailed in the meet. The Raiders would close out the match by winning four of the last five bouts. Doug Jones (165) and Mike Reeder (285) each won by decision. Mark Common at 174 won by major decision while Josh Gregorek picked up a forfeit at 184.
Mount Union will next compete on Tuesday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m. when it hosts Ohio Athletic Conference rival Baldwin-Wallace.
