Lady Raiders Sweep Doubleheader At Wilmington

Mount Union College's softball team (18-5, 6-2 OAC) swept a doubleheader at Wilmington on Saturday, April 10 in Wilmington, Ohio. The Lady Raiders won both games 9-1 in five innings.

In game #1, the Lady Raiders used a three-run first inning and a four-run third inning en route to their 9-1 victory.

First baseman Amanda Yackmack went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and 3 RBI. Lindsey Royer (8-3) earned the victory for Mount Union striking out seven. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate.

In game #2, Mount Union jumped out of the gate scoring six runs in the first inning.

Cindy Green (5-0) earned the complete game victory for the Purple Raiders striking out two. Third baseman Lee Negrelli finished the contest 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored while shortstop Carissa Prince went 2-for-3 with a stolen base.
