Getting Your Passport and Visa
Passport
|
To download a passport application and obtain all the information you need about getting or renewing a passport, go to the website of U.S. Department of State Passport Services.
NOTE: Among other things, you will need passport photos, which are photos of particular dimensions and specifications. Cockrill's, next to the post office, offers a discount package of 20 photos for $25 for Mount Union students. When you apply for your first-ever passport, you will also need to have a copy of your official, state-issued birth certificate on hand. (This has a raised seal, not baby feet on it.) In addition to your photos and birth certificate, you will need several additional documents and funds to pay for the passport (see the link above for complete information). You can submit your passport application and supporting materials at the BMV office on E. Main St. in Alliance between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm. Please keep in mind that it may take up to two months for you to receive your passport once you have applied for it.

Getting a visa can sometimes be complicated. The International Programs office does not make your visa arrangements for you. However, there are several companies you can pay to help you procure your visa. Click on the links below for more information.
Don't have much time to work with? Students who need assistance in expediting their passport or visa can try contacting their United States Senator or United States Representative.
