Known as an environmental advocate, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the son of the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy, has completed a litany of successful legal actions in support of a pollution free environment. The chief prosecuting attorney for the Hudson Riverkeeper and senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council, Kennedy has prosecuted governments and companies for polluting the Hudson River and Long Island sound; has argued cases to expand citizen access to the shoreline; and has forced sewage treatment plants into compliance with the Clean Water Act.

Kennedy is a graduate of Harvard University and studied at the London School of Economics. He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School and a master's degree in environmental law from Pace University School of Law.

Kennedy is a clinical professor and supervising attorney at the

Environmental Litigation Clinic at Pace University School of Law in New York and served as assistant district attorney in New York City during his early career.
