Student Benefits

Honors students make a significant contribution to the college community. As a show of gratitude, the college offers certain benefits to honors students in good standing. These benefits include overload tuition waivers up to nine credit hours, priority registration, and special invitations to on and off campus events. Additional benefits may be forthcoming such as honors housing. Students should send suggestions for benefits to the Director of Honors Programs.

To be in good standing and eligible for these benefits, students must complete a course for honors successfully earning a B= or higher. If a student goes more than one academic year without taking another honors course, she or he is no longer in good standing and must complete another honors course successfully to be reinstated and earn these benefits.

Of course the most important benefits are the learning and the opportunities to work with respected faculty, more in depth, and at a faster pace than would normally be the case.
