First Year in Honors Program

The First Year in Honors Program offers the opportunity for freshmen to take honors sections of general education courses LS100, CM101, EH120, RE100 and LS105. Incoming students with an ACT score of at least a 27 or a SAT-1 score of at least a 1220 and either a minimum grade point average of a 3.5 or a high school rank in the top 15 percent of their class, or permission of the Honors Review Board are eligible for this program. To be considered, students must contact the director of Honors Programs once accepted at the College. Students who successfully complete all 13 hours of honors credit earning at least a “B+” in each course will receive a special certificate of completion and notation on their official transcripts.
