Speaker: Judy Richardson, producer of PBS's Eyes on the Prize series and the documentary Malcolm X: Make it Plain will describe her lifetime of dedication to the continuing struggle for civil rights in America. This event is held in connection with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration.

"A Conversation with Robert Olen Butler", Pulitzer Prize winning novelist and Francis Eppes, Professor of English, Florida State University.

Most Significant Bytes
Speaker: Matthew Burtner, University of Virginia, will deliver a lecture/performance on Interactive Media and Network Music featuring MICE (Music for Interactive Computers Ensemble). He will also perform two works on the Most Significant Bytes concert: S-Trance-S and S-Morphe-S for saxophone and virtual "modeled" computer instruments. The concert will also include digital video and electronic sound works.

Speaker: Dr. Selene Phillips, member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa will present Sacagawea: Young Mother with the Corps of Discovery. This event is held in connection with National Women's History Month.
